Impeccable quality and flawless service. These are our two overall objectives, and this is why, when we at Castel go into partnership with a wine-grower, our specifications are very stringent, yet can be modified according to circumstance. The presence of a Quality Control Officer at every bottling plant enables us to monitor the quality of the wines right from the initial stages.

Every wine undergoes a number of checks, including daily organoleptic and physicochemical testing. All wine production is subject to strict quality standards : ISO and HACCP in France, and for our international partners, BRC and IFS. Quality assurance, supervision of bottling processes and logistics, cost control – Castel combine all these factors to achieve the best possible price/quality ratio, whatever the market.

 

The art of water :
"Controlled Sources”

Being the ultimate natural element, water requires special treatment to protect its production sites and their surrounding areas. Neptune’s production plants undergo 35 checks between extraction and bottling, while further 500 tests are carried out every day, not including those made by the central laboratory in St- Yorre. One example would be physicochemical checks to confirm consistency of mineral content, or bacteriological controls to measure the reaction of the water to the substances with which it comes into contact, such as packaging, machinery etc. For this reason, each site has its own integral control laboratory.
